  • advising banks, insurance companies; asset and wealth managers, private banks, regulators and Central Banks
  • formally, through Board roles as chairman, non-executive director, board-subcommittee member
  • informally, as counsellor and discussion partner on industry, strategy and organisation issues; typically on a personal basis with the Chairman, Chief Executive or senior executive or non-executive Board Director

Supporting Investment Projects

Supporting investment projects, primarily in financial services:

  • originating investment opportunities drawing on Adfisco's network and contacts
  • making venture capital investments via the expanding activities of MMC Ventures
  • structuring investments for principals
  • structuring and participating in co-ventures and investment partnerships
  • advising and/ or investing in non-financial services businesses only where it was convinced it could offer value-added support

Making Direct Investments

  • where appropriate (eg in light of potential conflicts) Adfisco would seek to invest alongside its Advice
  • typically Adfisco would seek co-invest funds on a deal by deal basis
  • Adfisco could invest directly, but would take equity, warrants or other instruments in lieu of the advisory fee
  • Adfisco would typically make company-specific investments but could also invest in funds focused on financial services
